Dress Code
:: Home Page > Current Student > Dress Code
All students whether man or woman must dress in a proper attire in accordance with university regulations regarding uniform. The current uniform code was written in 1993 with the aim to promote a sense of order, save on clothing, and provide a distinct look to KMUTT students. The following dress code is required:

During Lecture Hours (Figure 1)

Gentlemen
  • Shirt. White shirt, short or long sleeves, with shirt tucked in.
  • Trousers. Long trousers with casual and polite color with slip.
  • Belt. Black or brown color with university belt buckle.
  • Shoes. Brogan with polite color and style.

Ladies
  • Shirt. White shirt with short sleeves. Eton jacket, university pin at the left side with university mark in 5 buttons and shirt tucked in.
  • Skirt. Dark blue, black, brown, gray with four pleats.
  • Belt. Black or brown with university belt buckle.
  • Shoes. Brogan with polite color and style.

During Lab Hours (Figure 2)
Gentlemen and Ladies
  • Shirt
    > Hawaii collar, short sleeves, Eton jacket, university mark in 5 buttons, cover haunch, 1 pocket at the left chest and lower waist.
    > Fasten university’ name and marking
    > Lab Jacket colors of faculty / department would follow that shown in the appendix
  • Trousers/Skirt. Long with polite color and style.
  • Shoes. Brogan with polite color and style.

Ceremony Suites (Figure 3)
Gentlemen

  • Shirt. White shirt, long sleeves, no pattern with shirt tucked in.
  • Pants. Long pants, azure, no pattern with polite style and form.
  • Belt. Black with university buckle.
  • Necktie Azure, university logo knitted.
  • Shoes. Black, brogan and black socks without pattern.
Ladies
  • Shirt. Same as normal studies with button up at the collar.
  • Skirt. Azure, plus four pleats.
  • Belt. Black with university buckle.
  • Shoes. Black, brogan and polite style.

Commencement Dressing (Figure 4)
1. All Degrees, Gentlemen Graduates
  • Hair style. Polite with hair not exceeding the back of the neck. Natural color hair with no wig or periwigs permitted.
    ผมปลอม
  • Shirt. White, royal pattern, gold metal with university emblem on 5 buttons, a pin at both collars with academic standing at the left chest.
  • Pants. White long inter-pattern, not tight-fitting, same fabric as the shirt.
  • Shoes. Black brogan, no pattern, black socks.

2. Gentleman Graduates from State Enterprise
  • Normal white shirt, ministry / bureau marking with degree, insignia and academic standing at the left chest under insignia.
  • Hairstyle, socks, shoes same as item 1.

3. Ladies for Bachelor’s Degree
  • Hair Style. Polite, natural color with no wig or periwig, no hair accessories except ribbon or barrette.
  • Shirt. Same as regular studies, silver university mark 5 buttons, pin at the left chest, button up at the collar, and academic standing at the right chest.
  • Skirt. Azure or dark blue, polite without patterns, no accessories, plus four pleats with length not exceeding academic gown
  • Belt. Black with university buckle, no pins.
  • Shoes. Brogan, proper suite, flesh light with no patterns
    *Prohibit for man shoes

4. Ladies Graduates from State Enterprise
  • Normal white shirt, ministry / bureau marking with degree, insignia and academic standing at the left chest under her insignia
  • Hair style, socks and shoes same as item 3

5. Others ladies for Masters and Ph.D. Degrees
  • Shirt. White shirt, button up 5 pieces, from collar to shirttail, pin academic standing at the right chest.
  • Skirt. Only azure or dark blue and polite; hair style, belt, socks, shoes same as item 3.

Comments on Proper Academic Gown
  • Gentlemen’s gown should be about 1 foot from the ground when standing.
  • Ladies’ gown should be same length as skirt or slightly longer.
  • Use comfortable shoes that you have worn before to avoid fatigue problems.
