Based on the Memorandum of Understanding between The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TU?BI?TAK) and the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) signed in 2018, this call is launched to enhance the cooperative activities in the field of research between two countries. The main objective of this call is to support research projects to promote the integrated joint research between two countries through the synergy between both countries’ teams.
As a part of this agreement, each country’s agencies evaluate the proposals of their respective national teams on projects selected according to their own priorities.
The purpose of a partnership between TU?BI?TAK and NSTDA is to support projects for which there is genuine Turkish-Thai collaboration. Partners will ensure that each country provides equitable contributions and scientific inputs; therefore, we would like to invite Turkish and Thai universities, research centers and institutes to submit joint proposals for scientific and technological research and development projects.
Under this initiative, the TU?BI?TAK and NSTDA will operate calls that will run in parallel with one another.
Successful projects prepared in the fields below will be supported within the scope of the program.
Proposals submitted in other fields will not be accepted.
- Food safety
- Internet of things (IoT)
Projects must start in both the Turkey and Thailand by January 2020.
Projects may be up to three (3) years in length.
The total funding available for this call is as follows:
NSTDA - up to THB 9 million in support to the successful Thai applicants.
TU?BI?TAK - up to USD 450,000 (THB 14.4 million) in support to the successful Turkish applicants.

For Thai applicants, Full applications must be submitted by project coordinators on behalf of Thailand via electronic mail ( firstname.lastname@example.org) until 7 June 2019 (23:59 BKK time) and the application print should be signed by the respective legal persons and be sent to NSTDA until 21 June 2019.
